1 can tomato sauce
1 tbsp chopped basil (fresh)
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp (cane) sugar
4 strips of bacon (center cut)
1 medium union
2 tbsp olive oil

In a sauce pan add tomato sauce, basil and sugar. Grate the garlic and add to the sauce. Add salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil and cook it for 5 minutes. Turn of the heat and let the sauce pan on the pit. In another pan, cook the pasta (spaghetti) to the instructions. Cut the onion and bacon in small pieces. In a hot frying pan, add the olive oil. Add the onion and fry for about 2 minutes, until they starting to brown. Add the bacon and fry for another 2 minutes. Add some cooking water from the pasta, fry for another minute. Stir in the tomato sauce and add the pasta. Give it a good stir and it’s ready to serve.

Optional you can serve this with some freshly chopped basil and a few thin slices of Parmesan cheese.
